Randy MossRandy Moss (born February 13, 1977 in Rand, West Virginia) started the 2010-2011 season as a wide receiver for the Patriots. After some comments he made he was traded for a 3rd round draft pick to the Minnesota Vikings. He didn't last long in Minnesota and was released after 4 games and was then picked up by the Titans. He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 1998, and played the first stage of his career in Minnesota before a trade in 2005 brought him to the Oakland Raiders. On April 29, 2007, Moss was traded to the New England Patriots for a fourth-round draft pick. Then, in mid-season in 2010, he was traded back to the Vikings where he would team up with Brett Favre. With little fanfare, he announced his retirement prior to the 2011-2012 season. Prior to the 2012-2013 season, Randy announced that he wanted to resume his career and the SF 49ers decided to take a chance on him. He could be just what they need to open up their offense.

At Dupont High School (consolidated in 1999 into Riverside High School) in Belle, West Virginia, he led his school to the state AAA football title (West Virginia's highest class), starred in basketball alongside friend and current Miami Heat point guard Jason Williams, and also won the state title in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.¹
